Delaware Mathematics Coalition

Linda Bledsoe joined the Delaware Mathematics Coalition’s professional development and coaching team after retiring from twenty-five years of service teaching elementary school in the Appoquinimink School District. Linda became a nationally board certified teacher in 2004 and a recipient of Delaware’s Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching in 2010. From 1999-2007, Linda planned and presented Investigations curriculum-based professional development for multiple New Castle County school districts. She was also member of the Appoquinimink Mathematics Leadership Team and a lead mentor for new teachers in the district.

Since retiring, Linda has worked with the Delaware Mathematics Coalition as a math Connector coach for elementary teachers participating in the TRU-Math Project (Teaching for a Robust Conceptual Understanding of Mathematics), Leadership Coaching Lab, and the Transforming & Understanding Professional Learning (TUPL) National Science Foundation project. Her role in TUPL includes working with teachers to plan, enact, and reflect on lessons from their high quality curriculum (Bridges).
