Our Strategic Partners
Established in 2004, the Delaware Mathematics Coalition (DMC) is a strong alliance of mathematics leaders from Delaware public school districts (including charter schools), institutions of higher education, the Delaware Department of Education, and representatives from the business sector. As partners, DMC members are committed to improving the quality of mathematics teaching and learning in Delaware schools. The organization became incorporated in March 2015 and obtained non-profit 501 (c)3 status on December 8, 2018. The nucleus of the DMC is the Board of Directors, a volunteer network of curriculum supervisors from partner districts and charter schools in the state. Representatives from Delaware’s business community acting through the Delaware Foundation for Science and Mathematics Education (DFSME) as well as key stakeholders from the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) and local institutes of higher education serve as critical advisors to the organization. As a collective group, DMC partners work synergistically to identify and address issues of equity and access and systematically strengthen the quality of mathematics education in the state.
